Quote of the Day (Incorrect or misinformed edition)

The Plaid Cymru-supporting 'Welsh Ramblings' blog writes:

"Welsh Ramblings deeply opposes the political intentions of the blog "The Druid: Fighting For Anglesey". The Druid's arguments must be undermined and contested, as they are quite frequently incorrect or misinformed."

Just for the record: I am proud to be considered "frequently incorrect or misinformed" by a blog which celebrates the Venezuelan dictator, Hugo Chavez, and ponders what lessons Wales can learn from that anti-democratic, tin-pot bully. As far as I'm concerned, I totally agree with the Cynical Dragon.

It's the Politicians who are guilty of misinformation and not this blog. Druid explain to PC that I am more than happy to present their Parliamentary Candidate for Ynys Mon the former Detective Inspector Dylan Rees with cogent evidence in support of theft, corruption and conspiracy that has deprived this county of vital European Grant aid for decades. I go by the name of Lug and will gladly give Mr Rees a factual wedgy on corruption.

Anonymous said...

Dylan Rees promises to clean up politics. He seems to have conveniently forgotten that the last fraud case relating to corruption in IOACC collapsed because senior Police official's went on holiday with the accused. The case related to suspected abuse of Structural Grant's during the late 80's and early 90's involving Senior IOACC official's. Ceri Stradling's hard work went down the plug hole because of the local Plod.

Anonymous said...

Exactly, when a large planning file was taken away by the plod to investigate maladministration, the questions being asked was why were so many councillors interested in buying this worthless business, the conduct of the plod, was disgraceful, they tore the planning file apart, took away any evidence of maladministration, then handed the file back to the Council, with a wry smile. The masons do not belive in being a witness against another mason.

Do not complain to the Police about corruption, they are rife with it themselves.

Anonymous said...

I asked someone how he managed to get PP in the location he did, and he gave a wry smile and said 'did you know there are four lodges on the island?'.

Anonymous said...

The best way to cure someone with a wry smile..is to take him to Parys Mountain. The best cure for these fools who take and destroy is to give it back to them, make them learn what loss is............

Anonymous said...

A vast pyramid of corruption is how I would best describe the Freemason's.

John Vooght said...

Yes, there was a time when the media were quite active in investigative journalism into Anglesey Freemasonry, which seems to still have a strong grip on members of the local political class.

Where do the members meet on the island? There's a place in Menai Bridge, but are there any others? Maybe we can have an open day, meet the members, read their statement of interests and so on. Yeah, right.

On an unrelated note, the Welsh Assembly's Communities First have told me some weeks ago that they were "not aware" of any money being paid or transferred to Parys Training. They did say that their CF money went to support 'Stepladder' training or some such tick-box programme. So, given that Amlwch CF's website says proudly that it is delivering Stepladder training, that means er, that the Assembly has no idea that £83,000 has been paid to Parys Training. How's that for accountability and auditing?

Anonymous said...

Is Parys Training a private company and is "Stepladder training" a government initiative or it's own entity? I'm intrigued, they are like pigs in a trough when it comes to accessing Public money.

There is a lodge at the back of Ty Cyfle, Market Street, Holyhead, they meet every Tuesday judging by the amount of expensive car's with private reg plates. A bit like the council car park.

Anonymous said...

I bet whoever approved the Llangefni Town Hall office scheme isn't fully aware of the situation.

Four local businesses will occupy it - all Menter Mon or subsiduaries - no real business.

One of the MM businesses is actually a contracting arm (third sector) who offer services in direct competition with private businesses. And menternet is offering consultancy.

Wankers.

Anonymous said...

There is no accountability in Anglesey, any money given to this Island is treated like their own, squandered on Rugby trips, planning applications, house purchases. Let's consider this well known clown, he actually had his house built, everything paid for by the Council! Isn't that incredible, it can only happen here.

I was in touch with the Welsh assembly, and I mentioned some doubts I had about some of the incidents, they told me to report it to the council.
That was the bad old days, now we have McGregor, I asked him for a meeting he declined, he wouldn't meet me without an entourage, I wanted to meet him in private, I had serious issues here, he declined. I asked my local Councillor to meet with me and Mcgregor, McGregor declined.
I had in my hand a statement written by a very angry Councillor, that was going to lift the lid on planning applications on Anglesey, again Mc Gregor declined. This is why we are so angry, this is why some people, are reluctant to speak against the Council, they only create enemies, and at the end of the day, no one really cares.
They just walk away in disgust.

This statement I was willing to hand in to the Police, but to my disgust, they refused to look into it, because, in their words " It's time for you to move on, and do something else with your life"

When you read about maladministration, torture, and abuse, in your own country, by your own elected, it's very hard to move on.

They get their money from Cardiff, and they can do what they want with it, because no one cares and no one will do anything to stop it. I tried and failed, and I know what it's like to be called a fool, when in reality, I should had let them take everything, and leave me the leftovers, just like they have done all along to us all.

Anonymous said...

"Hyfforddiant Parys Training was formed as the trading arm of the Amlwch Regeneration Partnership."

In other words, they are allowed to charge like a business would, but don't have any of the dreary startup costs, overheads or competition that a private business would.

Third sector will squeeze the last breath out of the island.

Paul Williams said...

Lug - why don't you write a guest post for The Druid? Judging by your comments here and on other threads I think a lot of people on Anglesey would be interested in hearing more about the specifics of the cases you have been describing.

Anonymous said...

I 2nd that - a factual wedgie sounds ideal.

Anonymous said...

I will serve up Red Herring on a raft of deception to anyone with the appetite for getting stuck into these lying cheats. I promise they will be dragged kicking and screaming to court. The evidence is going to put them away for a long time. Anyone who want's a slice let me know. Lug

Anonymous said...

Druid, can I post Word and PDF documents onto this blog. If so can you let me know how. Lug

John Vooght said...

Yes, I'm also very interested to see what you have, Lug. No defamatory material, though - these people always have their solicitor's number handy.

Parys Training had as one of its directors, up until recently according to Companies House, and by a self-declaration of interests available on the Council's web site, Cllr. Gareth Winston Roberts.

As for 'doing something more useful with your life', then that's the kind of unintelligent rubbish you always get from our invisible police force. Nobody wants to hear the truth; it's too much for them to deal with. It's the burden in life for us lot on here to change things for the better. But it can be a lonely, thankless task.

Keep at it, if you have the time, energy, and of course, a good case to make!

Lug - I recommend that you upload the documents to the free document sharing site, www.scribd.com then post a link here. That way we will be able view them.

People - let's be serious

If you have evidence of wrongdoing don't just comment about it on a blog - do something about it

About police - Independent Police Complaints Commission

Or disclose your information to the press

After all serious corruption gets serious airtime.

I explained to the BBC that I recently furnished Clive McGregor and David Bowles with the evidence and the ball is firmly in their Court. I explained that it was only fair that I allow Clive McGregor the chance to examine the evidence, since he kindly allowed me to provide him with the evidence. We will wait and see if they decide to contain this. Lug

Anonymous said...

Good, now the BBC can send a freedom of information request to Ynys Môn County Council, and we can all see this evidence.

Anonymous said...

At least one councillor (Robert Lloyd Hughes) has declared himself a member of the Cefni Lodge in his declaration of interest.

Anonymous said...

A formal FOI request has been made and the disclosed documents show a different contract value to the documents previously supplied to the applicant by IOACC officer's. Documentation shows "Nil" client's excess contribution payable although the applicant was advised by the Council officer's dealing with the Grant that the excess contribution was £24,950. The applicant has actually paid his contribution and the officer's were of the opinion it had been paid although for some unknown reason the payment does not appear on the live system update taken off the Council's computer system. Lug

Anonymous said...

Yes the Cefni Lodge, has been there some time, floods now and then if I recall, not really secret is it!

To Lug - you seem to have the documents - show us and declare your interest

Anonymous said...

I certainly do have the documents but I will have to put mr X and Mr y instead of the real names. It will take me a bit of time to upload and edit them and will have to consult with the brief.

Paul Williams said...

Very wise. I think were all looking forward to see the factual wedgy...

Anonymous said...

Countdown begins - How much time should we allow Lug to publish his evidence - 7 days maybe - tick tock

Anonymous said...

The Druid will see it first and rightly so. It's already been sent through Cyberspace. Tick no tock get them in the dock.

Anonymous said...

Lug - Publish the evidence - what are you afraid of - and what does "The Druid will see it first and rightly so. It's already been sent through Cyberspace. Tick no tock get them in the dock." actually mean ?

Anonymous said...

I look forward to the Druid publishing the evidence then Lug

Anonymous said...

Who is Lug, do we care, does it matter, if all he says is the latter.

Anonymous said...

Sorry for offending anyone. It's the Druids blog and thought it only fair I gave it to him first. I'm not a whizz on computer's and would find it difficult to put the evidence straight onto this Blog. Obviously I've got more balls than sense, so we will leave it at that unless you took offence to "Tick no tock get them in the dock". It means no time should be wasted in getting them in the dock. It's alright we understand. Lug

Anonymous said...

What a load of utter codswallop and rubbish - wast llwyr ar amser oedd darllen hwn.

Um Lug, you are offending us all by making allegations you claim you can prove, but are unwilling to print, if the allegations are serious publish them or release them to the press - you are only wasting time in getting them to dock - We don't understand

Anonymous said...

Anon, I have delivered the goods. That's all I can do for the time being, I have just E-mailed the Druid dozens of documents for his perusal. I assure you now it's very serious stuff and I will not be putting names on here, not because I can't defend myself but simply because we really do not want to be sidetracked by a petty libel case at the taxpayers expense. They are snides who would go to any lengths to get off the hook.

Anonymous said...

I feel rather pushed. Let me make it clear, if any of you whimps think you can throw your weight around with me then you are mistaken. When the Druid returns he will announce his findings and believe me he is going to have a field day.

Anonymous said...

Who is pushing you ? - all we are asking is that you publish the evidence you have - why wait for the Druid - it's important after all

And yes I am a whimp see me quiver

Anonymous said...

Clock still counting down...................

Anonymous said...

Why is there a push to publish? All in good time, ladies, gentlemen (and councillors).

Of course, you could, if you hold a sincere belief that wrongdoing has occurred, present your evidence in confidence, and without fear of prosecution, to either the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales (not as bad as some people make out), or the Wales Audit Office, who will forward it for you to PriceWaterhouseCooopers. If there is any real substance to the concerns, I assure you they will investigate.

I understand Amlwch Communities First have been visited by the auditors, and are coming back on Monday to look through everything in much finer detail. It doesn't look good.

Anonymous said...

There is a great deal of respect for people who fight against the wishes of IOACC, these we call freedom fighters, while they plot to deceive us all in their lodges, skimming money from the Government, we all face ruin.,

Any wrong doing must be investigated, but they have been at it for so long now, they have been at it for so long now, that they have become complacent and are treating everything that belongs to the tax payer as their own!

They can take what they want, do you rememebr that scandal called the Dinorben? that was just the start of it all, they decide who gets what, take their turn in getting planning permissions, they can use any excuse for an extension here, a new house there, poorly mother in law, poorly daughter. Yet, an honest hard working man, who has no mason connections, can be destroyed, because a mason wants, his land, his assets, and once a mason wants anything, they get it.

Are you all aware, that most planning officers and executives are all MASONS?
If one of them messes up, they are duty bound as masons to protect him, that's why when it comes to any corruption and secrets they never talk.

The Auditors, they can't break them, the police are all masons, you'll never see them on a corruption charge, or a theft charge, they are too clever, especially if the judge is a mason too.

Anonymous said...

"Are you all aware, that most planning officers and executives are all MASONS? "

Well, they might be. What we need is the evidence. Without that, all we have is an opinion. How about we take a walk down the street when the next lodge is in session, note the car reg plates, then take another walk down the council car park. See if there's anything in common.

Anonymous said...

The Wales Audit Office and PWC are simply not doing their job properly.

The order came right from the top over twelve months ago for them to fully investigate this matter, but PWC decided to allow IOACC Internal Audit to continue their investigation after several failed reports. What makes it worse is the fact that IOACC auditor's allowed the department under investigation complete access to the file. I am fully aware of Public Sector Audit coverage and to be honest they are part of the problem and not the solution.

Jeremy Colman about sum up Public Sector Audit coverage.

Druid, considering you've been civil to me i'm not at all happy you've written a post about me and then allowed all these bizarre comments. Which of course I have no idea about, I don't even know about Ynys Mon's politics.

So when people see a blog post you've done about Welsh Ramblings, generating 76 comments, and then read those comments, they might assume my blog is involved in legal conspiracies, which is pretty unfair.

It also means I can't now write a rebuttal to you (for example, as a fact Hugo Chavez is the elected President of Venezuela, a country whose political system is a liberal parliamentary democracy on the European model, not a 'tinpot dictatorship') because of the bizarre conspiracy theories going around on your blog.

When you started blogging you told me Ramblings was an influence of sorts, and some of your posts have created good debate, but this kind of 'freemasonry' content drags you down and marks you as being more like the old Labour attack blogs that used to predominate.

Paul Williams said...

Ramblings - I'm as surprised as you why the comments under this post took the direction they did. Very little of it has any direct connection to my actual post. Of course Welsh Ramblings has not been involved in any legal conspiracies and I'm sure that nobody would think so.

not wise to publish your e mail address if your trying to remain anon ,copy and paste into facebook and see the results

Anonymous said...

Anon, of course they know who I am.

Do you really think the Council and their lawyer's are calling the shots, I've already been threatened with libel action for making allegations against a Senior Officer. I promptly replied to the acting MD "Put Taxpayer's money where your mouth is" and "Crawl back under your desk until your replacement arrives".

They falsely claimed I made these allegations over the phone in the presence of two officer's. I kindly asked if they would make a formal written statement to this effect but they declined when I explained I have a recording of the telephone conversation.

During this telephone conversation, I reported that the builder has confirmed that he did not issue £60,000 worth of invoices processed with a grant application. When I asked the officer concerned what he was going to do about it he smugly replied "Nothing".

My concern was, if the builder was not issuing the invoices then who was?

He falsely accused me to ward me off and was the biggest mistake that Goskin ever made. Since then I have won every battle and there has been many, because I know what lengths they will go to. I have a knack of catching them out lying and have the financial records to prove it.

The final battle will be in Court and they are going to lose.
