++ Clive McGregor sacks John Chorlton and Hefin Thomas ++

Clive McGregor has this morning sacked Labour group leader, John Chorlton, and Independent, Hefin Thomas, from the Executive. Clive will be giving an interview to the BBC this afternoon. More to follow.

UPDATE: It appears that a certain Welsh national party leader became involved in the background over the weekend prompting today's occurrences.

Won't be satisfied till the Welsh Assemble takes over all together.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's not just one big con to force a merger with Gwynedd and McGregor as its leader?

Political suicide.

Clive, why are you creating this further turmoil, when you are vacating anyway in May, and you have a peaceful and constructive Executive....it smacks of personal.... but we thought you did not do personal ?

WHY ???
Never mind what he says on the BBC...we should ask what is the reason behind the reason ?

Anonymous said...

Does this mean the end of IACC as we know it....the Minister is calling on Thursday !

Come on Voice, no need for such language.

The sacking of JCh is to reduce his prospect of becoming Leader, a position in which he would be the puppet of the pipe-puffer from up north, which WAG will prevent at all costs. Quite right too.

Anonymous said...

voice....and it wil be re-posted ;-)

Anonymous said...

Och, can't we let the Pipe Puffer of the North be Leader and let him slowly sink himself into oblivion?

Anonymous said...

So who will be at Amlwch public meeting tonight then.

Anonymous said...

There's only one man we can trust for leader now?

Anonymous said...

16.59 He'd sink us all with him...captain of the Titanic !
A more unsuitable person to lead any Council can not be imagined.
He knows it, thats why he needs a poodle.

Anonymous said...

now now 16:55 & 16:59 no need for name calling , how old are you ?

Anonymous said...

This is the type of behaviour which caused all the trouble in the first place. Now we see it,s been Clive McGregor all along, just to save his own skin.
No good complaining now though, how many times did we need telling?

Anonymous said...

What now Bowles, anything else you can conjure up to destroy Anglesey County Council?
What we want now is a campaign to stop any merger with Gwynedd with their £40,000,000 deficit.

Anonymous said...

"What we want now is a campaign to stop any merger with Gwynedd" I agree with that 100%.....I did'nt work last time so why would it work now ?

Anonymous said...

Stop Anglesey County Council Merger.
Call for a referendum.

All engineered dear boy, all engineered.
All I would say to the Leader of Gwynedd, watch your back dear boy, there's a snake in the grass.

Time for public demo's me thinks.
They have made twits of us for far to long, time to turn the tide. A few placards won't do any harm but it would wake the feckless B.....d's up.

Anonymous said...

The only view Clive McGregor is interested in is his own, any other is met by abuse and sackings. Not unlike
the actions of a Fascist.
No way to run a tinpot Council.

They have taken too much for too long, they have ignored the people constantly, not once, not twice, but all the time. While we starve they feed, while they make themselves richer we are facing poverty. There is no chwarae teg here, all they do is take, take and take, on the make, make, make. While we lie in the gutter, they crush us with their greed, they treat us like vermin, when in reality, they are the vermin, the filth that has ruined us all, and driven us to the edge of dispair. We will get them, we will make them pay for ruining us all.

Sometimes Druid I think your as bad as them, you allow postings here to discredit the clowns, but not once have you offered any real support for the real victims.

Never like Chorlton anyway. Always struck me as sly and smarmy on the few occasions I've spoken to him.

I believe that John Chorlton & Hefin Thomas were removed due to the 'rumors' that John would be the next leader. Instead of all this bull and acting like kids we should elect councillors who will make anglesey respected again. The best solution would be for one of the better respected and liked councillors to become leader...namely Cliff Everett or Gwilym O Jones, both doing a great job without causing all the headlines!

Anonymous said...

Cliff Everett doing a great job without causing head lines?
Biggest shit stirrer on the bank.

Question.
How can the Leader of the Council stay as Leader, when his group and/or coalition is in the minority?

Plaid 8.
Llais i Fon 5.
That's 13. In a membership of 40 that make a minority.

So I ask the question again.
How can the Leader of the County Council stay as the Leader when his group and/or coalition are in the minority?

Anonymous said...

Reply based on previous post not yours sorry. The.leader stays in post until he resigns or its time for the next elections i think. Probably wrong there but something along the lines of elected into that role so unable to unelect until next elections?

Anonymous said...

Yes Correct, unless he finds himself in the minority.

Anonymous said...

and he is voted out by two thirds of the full council.

Anonymous said...

Gwilym o Jones. Very good choice.

Anonymous said...

you can't please all the people all the time....reading you lot moaning proves it ! one things for sure , keep Anglesey out of Gwynedd.

Anonymous said...

Kenneth P Hughes. Eric Jones, Ieuan Williams. Well respected, come with no baggage and very capable.
Would make excellent Leaders.

Anonymous said...

Most definitely.
SAY NO TO GWYNEDD

Anonymous said...

Gwilym O Jones sounds like a good option. Believe that he's a very good chair!

Anonymous said...

Druid can you add a "Like" button? so every time I see "SAY NO TO GWYNEDD" (or the like) I can click it

Anonymous said...

Good idea.
Can we have a Yes or No pole to joining up with Gwynedd?

"nor do we live in a police state"

I know IoACC sets a pretty poor standard, but readers may think different about the "police state" in a few weeks, once the detail of former Norfolk Chief Constable, former ACPO Ltd terrorism expert (undercover agents in peaceful protest groups a specialty), former Met terrorism expert (murdering innocent electricians a specialty), former Met investigator of News of the World phone tapping allegations, and current News International employee Andy

CARRIER LOST

Anonymous said...

Gwilym O Jones has been there for years, works at wylfa and would be an exceptional choice especially with the Island trying to go along an energy island approach!

Anonymous said...

Valid point!

Anonymous said...

Anyone go to the Amlwch meeting tonight?

Anonymous said...

Everett, your kidding are`nt you.

He`s the last person we want as leader.

We need someone who is honest, greedless and not a bully.

Kenny Everett again, diawl. As someone said about him in Llangefni's Hawl i Holi, a smug, pompuos, self important small bureaucrat and supposed clerk of tinpot Holyhead parish council or something. And JC's favourite son in law.
No.
Not suitable, not qualified (in anything),much mouth but no intellect.....a socialist, and an altogether divisive figure.
Lets not encourage him.

fresh elections urgently needed in May! it's the island's chance to have fresh faces to replace the old faeces...

Anonymous said...

In alphabetical order, a short-list of suitably qualified, intelligent, capable, clean and "no-baggage" candidates for Leader,(its a short but realistic list !)-
Evans, Keith
Hughes, Robert
Jones, H.E.
Thomas, Hefin
Apologies to the others.

Anonymous said...

Hefin Thomas? Are you mad? No baggage indeed.

Anonymous said...

Don't lets get off the subject.
McGregor taken his ball in. the games knackered, He's finished, and the assemble along with David Bowles have done the dirty on the People of Anglesey.
Only one way out is the councillors take control and get ride of the outside perpetrators.

Anonymous said...

11.06 OK, if you are correct, lets knock him off the list......any other suggestions, anybody ??
This could be an interesting straw POLL ?

Anonymous said...

What about getting a woman as leader for a change?

I know the Llangefni Councillor is a Woman- is she any good?

*and Hefin Thomas- I though you asked for no baggage!

Anonymous said...

13.55 Is she any good ?
As a Leader, emphatically no; as a woman, I've no idea .
