Guto Bebb, newly elected MP for Aberconwy, interviewed in the Daily Post yesterday:
"The problem we have is that we are training and educating young people then losing them. In terms of losing young people, Anglesey is an absolute disaster but Conway isn't much better."
You know things must be really bad when even people from Conwy pity us...

Like many a youngster, I went away to train and for several years worked in England and Mid-Wales but Anglesey was always 'home' and came back to work at Wylfa in the 60's.
My own sons who are both Welsh speaking(after college) went into the military and would have liked to return with their families but were preventated by incomer local attitudes. Seemingly, the tribulations of Sierro Leone, Iraq and Afghanistan do not compare with the bigots and nimbe's here. Having experienced the modern world elsewhere they would like to see more here with which to fill their lives and I suppose more of a welcome home, sadly IOACC (officers & elected)is completely disinterested in doing the right thing for such people.

Good morning Druid,
For some reason your site does not open under The Druid of Anglesey, can only get in via this document.

Anon 18:25 - You are a disgrace.
Members of the Armed Forces deserve ultimate respect considering they are risking their lives for Queen and Country.
You had better hope we don't discover your ID because we will make you pay for your sick comment.
I promise you be KO'd before you hit the floor.

I appreciate what you have said, at least not everyone thinks like 'that filth' . You have obviously looked at 'The Recovery Board' there is obviously more from the same individual and I think I can clearly guess who that is which would be a wacking great surprise to you.
By the wy, were you in Caernarfon on Thursday?

Following a request by the Father of a serviceman, I have deleted a post above and reproduce it here minus the offending part:

What a load of boll***s, why should young Anglesey men fighting on the Front Line in Afghanistan deserve any special treatment by IOACC ?"
